Update on How to Improve U.S. Health Care

Universal Health Care” should be embraced, and not feared, according to The Anti-Corporate League.  They make what they term a data-based argument for Universal Health Care in the U.S.A. on their blog, and it makes for interesting reading.  While they are a little light on supporting statistics, and heavy on left-leaning thought, they do present a World Health Organization chart showing that Americans have a surprisingly high adult mortality rate in  comparison to nations that utilize at least some principles of universal health care.

Thanks for posting some of the information from the ACLUSA blog. Be sure to check out part 2, which shows the comparative expenditures of health care in the same nations. We are spending MUCH more than the listed nations and still more of our people are dying because of the health care system. In part 3 we hope to demonstrate the profit takers in the health care system, including health insurance providers, hospital corporations, pharmaceuticals, and malpractice lawsuits.

Feel free to make any comment on the page. We value all points of view.

In their document, part 2 does show the comparative expenditures of health care. We do spend much more that the listed nations, this is related to the fact that we spend much more on care of those in the last 6 months of life. This includeds dialysis and critical care. These are restricted in other nations. I would like to see ACLUSA come up with a list of what in their Universal Care that they will pay for and what they will not. In this way we can trully define what is meant by universal care. In the nations that they like to cite, there are limitations placed on who gets critical care, dialysis, transplants, etc.
