Alabama Med Mal Insurer In Great Financial Health

As I discussed in my Feburary 21st posting on the financial well being of North Carolina’s largest medical malpractice insurerer, there are states in which the med mal insurerers are not teetering on the brinks of financial disaster.  Today, you can add Alabama to that list.  According to The Birmingham News, that state’s largest insurer, ProAssurance Corp., is surpassing Wall Street’s estimates of its earnings, and was able to make a “favorable $104 million adjustment to its reserve fund.”
