I dont mind if trail lawyers are given this opportunity for tax deductions as long as it is made accross the board. If the argument is that by giving "these tax deductions attorneys will be more likely to take on causes that they otherwise would not becuase of financial reasons" lets do the same in medicine. I can not deduct my expenses, time or losses for taking care of patients who can not pay. I can not deduct the costs of my supplies, the time of my staff and I certainly can not deduct the increased liability that I have for taking on these "risky cases". I wonder how much access to healthcare would increase if physicians could deduct their losses for taking care of those who can not pay?
