		<description>You know, I have found it nearly impossible to get MY OWN medical records from my family practice doctor.  Thankfully, part of the requirement to meet &#039;meaningful use&#039; and receive the $44k Medicare incentive for using a certified electronic medical records system entails a provision where the physician must be able to provide an electronic copy of the patient&#039;s chart.  In a few years, most docs will have patient web portals where the patients can get access to their own records... it&#039;ll be nearly impossible to hide from providing records with a single request.</description>
